The original Ford Fiesta ST from 2013 was a modern classic. The combination of appealing pricing, point-and-shoot driving dynamics and a sweet turbocharged engine ensured it won a legion of fans. Its follow-up from 2020 continued that formula and brought with it a refinement missing from the original. And it’s a pleasure. The engine note is throaty and deep–it’s intake sound, not a booming exhaust–so matting the throttle put smiles on our faces. It’s tempting to compare a base Focus ST–priced at $24,115–to a Recaro-equipped Fiesta ST, but with similar equipment, the Focus approaches $30,000.
The Ford Fiesta ST-Line X comes with 18-inch alloy wheels, LED rear lights, automatic climate control, premium seats (with part synthetic leather), heated front seats and a heated steering wheel. Keyless entry and start are standard, as well as a rear-view camera.
