Each glow plug should draw 10-12 Amps. Fuseable link for glow plugs about 4"" down the harness from where it connects to pass side battery. take the tape off. should be going under your a/c line. Thats why the glow plugs heat up. The contacts inside the relay are probably worn and/or oxidized and causing high resistance which takes current away from the glow plugs and is hard on the battery's. The minute delay is normal. That is just the PCM telling the relay to shut down after heating the chambers with the glow plugs. rG06F.
