The game is designed in the future, and still has the similar gameplay one person would expect from a Devil May Cry game. However, you have a permanent Trickster/Blademaster type of play set that you can't walk away from. The short summery of the game is Dante is recruited by an old lady to go take out a devil worshiping clan.

If you're good at the game, Turbo Mode is very helpful, at least in DMC3. Turbo Mode makes the game play 20% faster, but does not make the in-game clock move any differently when it comes to the Time requirement of the ranking at the end of the level. So if your brain able to process it, you basically gain 20% extra time for free.
You know, Iām not actually sure. Iād have to give it a try. I tried it last night, as it turns out, you can't scam Capcom out of Super Vergil. Apparently, you only get given it upon completion of mission 20 on DMD. Makes sense I suppose.

Devil May Cry was a fascinating game that could simply never have existed for a lot of reasons, and only really does because the director saw the potential in what was supposed to be Resident Evil 4. The game was a success, but development on a sequel started before that by a less experienced team.
